PILGRIM'S PROGRESS
This is an allegory about the Christian life. It starts off the main character, Christian, reading the bible and fleeing the City of Destruction. He is guided by a man named Evangelist to a small gate that puts him on a narrow path to the Celestial City. But the way to the Celestial City is no easy task! He battles Appolyon and has to go through the Valley of the Shadow of Death. He meets with other characters that constantly try to deceive him and get him off the narrow path. Finally after going through Doubting Castle and being beat up by Giant Despair he barely escapes with his friend Hopeful and eventually makes it to the Celestial City.
