Points to consider about Israel and the Church

Romans 2:28- for he is not a Jew who is one outwardly. This disqualifies circumcision as an evidence of being right with God.

John 1:12,13-only who receive Jesus are born of God
John 3:3-6 can’t see the Kingdom without being born again
-Matthew Henry says had he never read Ezekiel 36?
-Duet 10:16, 36, Psalms 51 explain the necessity of a new and clean heart. Nicodimus should have known what Jesus was talking about

John 6:63- the flesh profits nothing
Romans 11:26,27 says that the word of God will not fail in delivering the true Israel from their sins.
There are two Israel: of the promise and the natural Israel that is not part of the promise
Ishmael was just as much a child of Abraham as Isaac was but he was not part of the promise
Rom 9:8 says those that are of the flesh are not the Children of God. This means the physical descendents of Abraham are not the people of God.
Galatians 3 is so clear about only those who are IN CHRIST are children of Abraham and heirs according to the promise.
-Jacob and Esau both were children of Isaac but only Jacob God saved.
-Jesus rebuked the Pharisees (John 8:33-47) for saying they were right with God because they were natural descendents.
-The god of Judaism is not the God of the New or Old Testament. The Old Testament was about Jesus Christ. To believe that he is not the messiah is to not believe in the Old Testament. Those who deny the Son do not have the Father either (I John 2:23).
-Rom 2:29 A true Jew is one inwardly with a circumcised heart or born again.
-This is a historical truth that the Church is the Israel of God. -The dispensational view of Israel is a new theology.
-Church fathers: Hillary agrees also (Galatians 6:16).
-The Church is the Holy Nation (1 Peter 2:9) (1 John 3:1-3)

Eph 1 says the church is now the Chosen of God
Phil 3:3 says we are the circumcision…and have no confidence in the flesh
