Day-Age Theory
Psalm 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8- a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past…one day is with the Lord as a thousand years…Both say thousand not million and neither one is talking about the creation. Time means nothing to God.
Gen. 1:13,16,20- grass…plants…trees on the third day…the sun on the fourth day…insects on the fifth day. If it’s millions of years then that would be hard on the plants with no sun and no insects to pollinate the plants.
Question and Answer
The first 3 days are not literal days without the sun? Ex.20:11 puts all 7 days as being the same. Scores of other scriptures indicate a 6 day creation.
There is no closure (evening and morning) to the 7th day so it could be billions of years? The Hebrew calls for day 7, a normal 24-hour day. Many scriptures refer to the seventh day. The 7th day is symbolic of God’s rest but was a literal day in Genesis 1. Were the Jews to work 6 days and take the rest of their life off?
Science has proven the earth is billions of years old? All evidence for billions of years is based on flawed logic.
The death before sin only indicates human death. Adam’s sin did not effect creation? Because of man’s sin plants grew thorns and thistles. Gen 3:18. Abram sacrificed an innocent ram. Gen 22. Romans 8:18-22.
Many intelligent godly men teach the earth is billions of years old? So what. God’s word is the judge not majority opinion. History is replete with examples where majority has been wrong.

Matt. 19:4- … that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female.

Rom. 5:12- as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned…
1 Cor. 15:21-22- …by man came death…in Adam all die…
1 Cor. 15:45- And so it was written, The first man Adam was made a living soul…
Gen. 3:20- Adam called his wife Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
