In a recent conversation I had with a "Young Democrat" I was informed that the Treaty of Tripoli proves that America was never in any way shaped by Christianity.  And because America is not in any way a Christian nation, therefore I have no basis to tell American politicians to obey the Law of God.   First of all, the evidence that America was founded on Biblical principles of government is overwhelming.  And second, the Treaty of Tripoli does not prove America was not built on Christianity.

I.(Deut. 28:5,7)  There is a positive relationship between a nation’s economic prosperity and it’s obedience to Biblical Law.  Could the real problem concerning lack of economic growth in backward nations be spiritual instead of economic?

II.(Gen. 1:26)  Man, being a creaturely reflection of God, is capable of free choice.  Is the system of voluntary exchange in a free market economy morally superior to the involuntary exchange of socialist economies?

III.(Gen. 1:28)  Man is the LORD’S steward, who is the be in economic control of the LORD’S creation.  He is to subdue so as to multiply.  And he is to replenish (preserve) its natural resources.

IV.(Gen. 1:31)  The physical aspects of God’s creation are positively good.  This means that material wealth is good.  See the first and last chapters of Job.  The disparaging of material things is evil. 

V.(Gen. 2:15)  Even before the fall, man was faced with the necessity of working for a living and of facing the economic necessity of choice between “scarce” resources.  He was called to choose between “available alternatives with the purpose of maximizing his welfare.”-Ross

In a recent interview, the Pop-Star Justin Bieber talked about his ethics on marriage and sex.  When asked if abstinence should be practiced, he responded by saying, "I think you should just wait for the person you’re…in love with."  It seems Justin wasn't taught very well about what God says about the marriage bed in his public school.  Humanism teaches that what you feel in your heart is right.  The Bible teaches that whatever God says in his Word is right.  Abstinence needs to be encouraged in our sex crazed society.  Also it needs to be known even if you have had sex before marriage there is forgiveness only in the Blood of Christ.

God ordained civil government to punish evildoers (Romans 13:1-8).  According to the Authority of the Holy Bible, the civil government has no business in the areas of education, healthcare or welfare.  So whether Planned Parenthood says they use our $360,000,000 tax dollars for abortions or education, both reasons are unBiblical and unConstitutional.  We need to hold our civil government accountable to what God says in the Holy Bible.  Life begins at conception.  Abortion is murder.

Torture is terrorism. You cannot be pro-life and defend torture. A very important book on this topic is (from Mercer University Press) “Religious Faith, Toerture And Our National Soul.” Different chapters by different authors. Excellent.  Dr. R.J. Rushdoony, in a piece titled “Justice and Torture”, in “Roots of Reconstruction,” says:
“…In terms of God’s law, thus, even a God-established confession must have the corroboration of evidences. Clearly, confession in itself had no real standing in Biblical law. In this respect, Biblical law preserves the person of the suspect with all the respect due to one created in the image of God.

We as Christians with children or not must stand unmovable about what the Bible says about family.  Satan knows the family is the building block of a Godly society and that's why there is so many attacks on the nuclear family.  The Bible is clear when it says, "Children, obey your parents in the LORD, for this right. (Eph. 6:1)."  This also implies that the parents have complete authority over their children.  The United Nations is one big ball of tyranny.  We must fiercely oppose anyone who would promote these wicked laws over our family and nation (Proverbs 28:4).  Study and learn what the Bible says about the government of family, so when you are confronted with the decision to either follow the definitions of the state or God, there will be no question who's side you are on.  "We must obey God, rather than men (Acts 5:29)."

Vidiciae Contra Tyrannos-A Defense of LIberty Against Tyrants by Junius Brutus

This book answers four questions.  Beautifully, carefully, powerfully, and wisely.
  1. Are subjects bound to obey their princes, if their princes command that which is against the Law of God?  No.
  2. Is it lawful to resist a prince who infringes the Law of God?  Yes.
  3. Is it lawful to resist a prince who oppresses or ruins a public state?  Yes.
  4. Are neighboring princes bound by law to assist the subjects of princes who are persecuted for the true religion or oppressed by manifest tyranny?  Yes.
The oft-persecuted French Huguenots further refined Reformed political theory. They created a more far-reaching constitutionalism, featuring the limitation of political power, the “consent of the governed”, and “the right to resist tyrants in the name of divinely granted liberty”. Vidiciae Contra Tyrannos, born during the intense religious warfare of the late sixteenth century, was the best example of the Huguenot's ardent opposition to tyranny.
